2023-05 Prayer Letter (SWM)
“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:24
It is comforting to know that our Great God is always faithful. The salvation He provides can never fail (John 10:29). We can be thankful for “Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry” (1 Timothy 1:12). It is our great joy at SWM to remain faithful to the Lord, to our calling, and to our supporting churches. This year SWM celebrates 30 years of faithful ministry in Trenton. Rejoice together with us!
Office – Tabitha Beam taught this year’s Community Sign Language Class at SWM. The floor upgrade of Ted Camp’s office and the Business Office was recently completed. (Ted Camp also has an upgraded desk – Yay, a better place to create his writings!) Volunteers helped in that project and continue to help assemble deaf ministry books and send The Silent Word newspaper. Diane Barr has her hands full processing incoming support for our mission team of 34. We are thankful for Jackie Bradford who assists Diane, Carlene, and Tabitha in the Business Office. Faithful people make this ministry possible.
SWM Meetings – Jon and Diane Barr recently represented SWM at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter Deaf Days. Also J.T. Gorham coordinated a deaf drama and choir, and he and Rusty VanDonkelaar preached the Gospel in a Deaf-led service. Jim & Terry Bracelin will soon finish their final Spring Fantastic Saturdays. SWM will be well represented at the upcoming Deaf Baptist Fellowship of America in Florida and will conduct the ASL Institute and Deaf Bible Conferences in Georgia and Pennsylvania. Faithfully spreading the Word of God is a joy.
Missionaries – Along with others mentioned above, David and Vicki Bennett continue to teach and train people for ministry, Nicole Condra has begun a new stage of ministry in Romania, Reed and Donna Condra are revisiting their supporting churches, Larry and Diana Galyen are faithful amid health challenges, Monique Lindsey is reaching special needs people (and others) in Liberia, Ben and Marie Muldoon are learning the Romanian language as they begin their ministry there, Frank and Ursala Rasmussen (advisors) continue to be an encouragement to our whole ministry, Bud and Jenna Ring are now able to travel in ministry as Canada opens back up, Jacob and Tammy Roth have begun deputation, Allen Snare prints materials at SWM and preaches the Gospel in many places, Paul and Rachel Strosnider continue to disciple Deaf people in their deaf church, Bruce and Amanda Stuart are awaiting baby David’s passport so they can return to Liberia, Rusty and Cassandra VanDonkelaar are raising needed support as they continue to disciple Deaf people in their church, and Carrie Whaley is raising the final 10% of her needed support before going to Liberia. Your faithful prayers help each of us spread the Gospel in our individual ministries.
Salvation Decisions – This year we have seen 52reported salvation decisions through all areas of our ministry. It is amazing that there have been 17,025 total reported salvation decisions over the years. Faithfulness in ministry has great advantages!
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for SWM and SWM missionaries. We are committed to faithfully serving the Lord on your behalf. Together Everyone Accomplishes More!
